Our online services enable users ("you" or "butler") to select and reserve restaurant tables, primarily catering to potential customers such as tourists or visitors exploring a new city. For the purpose of this Policy, these services are collectively referred to as our "Services."
Our mobile application and associated services (collectively referred to as the "App" or "Services") are managed and operated by Yo Book SARL, the data controller and owner. By accessing or using our App on any device — whether a smartphone, tablet, or similar device (all referred to as "Device") — you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
CNDP Registration
In compliance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08, Yo Book SARL has filed the necessary declarations and is in the process of obtaining authorizations from the CNDP for the processing of personal data carried out through the Platform. Our compliance efforts and registration details are available upon request.
Data Collection
When you access or use our Services, Butler automatically collects data that may include the following:
Account Data
Registration is required to use the platform, and by filling out the registration form, the following information will be processed:
- First & last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Establishment (if applicable)
- Profession
- City
- Date of birth (optional)
Reservation History & Guest Preferences
Butler records the complete history of all reservations made on the platform by its professional users, including reservation details such as the restaurant, date, time, number of people, and any cuisine preferences of the guests.
Online Activity
Butler collects data about your online activity related to your clients' reservations to personalize their experience and improve its services.
Geolocation Data
Butler collects geolocation data from your mobile devices to personalize results and recommendations based on your clients' current location and improve the relevance of local offers for your clients.
Use of Information
- Account and Activity Management To manage your Butler account, facilitate the use of the platform, and track your activity, including reservations, commissions earned, and interactions with partner restaurants.
- Revenue Optimization To personalize restaurant and special offer recommendations to maximize your commission earnings and optimize your business activity.
- Service Improvement To measure the interest of professionals in our services and improve them based on their needs and expectations.
- Communication To communicate with you on topics related to your Butler activity, such as reservation confirmations, new offers, commission rate changes, and information useful for your business.
- Personalization of the Experience To offer personalized restaurant recommendations to your clients based on their culinary preferences, food allergies, and location. This helps ensure that your recommendations align with the unique needs and preferences of each tourist, enhancing their overall experience.
- Statistics & Analytics To generate statistics and analyses on the overall activity of the platform and your individual performance, allowing you to track and improve your business activity.
- Problem Solving To effectively resolve any technical or Butler activity-related issues.
- Prevention of Abuse To prevent any activity that may harm the platform or other users, including fraudulent bookings, abusive ratings, or violations of the terms of use.
- Legal Compliance To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the protection of personal data. Please note that certain information about you is necessary for us to provide you with Butler services, optimize your revenue, and allow you to enjoy the benefits reserved for professionals.
Information Choices
- Personalized Communication As a Butler, you have control over the information we use to provide you with relevant information and opportunities. You can choose whether or not to receive communications, and customize the level of detail to optimize your experience and revenue.
- Geolocation You can prevent the collection of your geolocation information. However, please note that disabling location sharing may affect some features of our Services, such as finding restaurants in your area.
- Account Management You have the ability to add and update your information, and close your account. If you choose to close your account, we will disable it and delete your profile information from active view. However, some information associated with your account, such as past reservations, may be retained for internal purposes, including backups, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, investigations, and legal compliance. This information will be kept for the period necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Policy.
- Commission Alerts You can choose to receive email alerts when you receive a new commission, or when your commission amount is modified.
- Account Closure To close your account, please contact us by filling out the contact form on our App. We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your request and proceed with the closure of your account.
International Data Transfers
As a company based in Morocco, we do not generally carry out international transfers of your information. However, please note that certain data may be stored and processed on servers located outside Morocco. We are committed to ensuring that all your data is processed securely and in compliance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Information Security
We have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security procedures to enhance the protection of your information.
- Access to personal data is strictly limited to certain of our authorized employees, and only for legitimate business purposes.
- Encryption is used when transmitting your personal data between your system and ours, as well as between our system and those of the parties with whom we share information.
- Firewalls and intrusion detection systems are in place to prevent unauthorized access to your information.
It is important to note that despite all of these measures, we cannot guarantee the total security of information in the event of unauthorized access or use, hardware or software failures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or for any longer period required by law or by a regulatory authority. In addition, we may be required to retain your information for the period necessary to assert or exercise our rights or defend ourselves against any legal action.
Super Butler
By opting for the Super Butler service and agreeing to the Terms of Service, you acknowledge and consent to Butler utilizing your name, other identifiable information, and your approved testimonials for promotional purposes. These promotional activities may involve incorporating your name as a commission recipient in sales materials, marketing initiatives, and various promotions or presentations, whether delivered orally, electronically, or in written form. This may also encompass a concise description of the reward you received as a result of your contribution to the Butler service, denoted by the commissions acquired from restaurants in exchange for the customers you referred to their establishments. Your active involvement in the Super Butler service may be acknowledged and highlighted as part of our marketing endeavors, contributing to the enhancement of the visibility and reputation of our platform. The Race
The Race is a loyalty and reward program exclusively available to Super Butlers. During each cycle, we monitor and evaluate performance metrics such as reservation volume and client punctuality (no-shows). This data is used to rank participants and determine the top three performers, who will receive rewards accordingly. All performance data is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy, ensuring that it is safeguarded and not disclosed to third parties except as necessary for the administration of The Race and legal compliance. Any updates to this Privacy Policy will be communicated through appropriate channels, including email or App notifications, and continued participation in The Race constitutes acceptance of these updates.
Modifications
We may update this Policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through one or more of the following methods: sending a communication to the email address you have provided, posting a notification on the App, and/or displaying the updated Policy within the App. The date of the most recent update will be clearly indicated at the beginning of this Policy. By continuing to use our App or Services after any modifications are made, you consent to and agree with the changes.
